PRIME CIRCLE in Durban’s Botanic Gardens
by Press Release
23 February 2010

Sunday 7 March sees one of South Africa’s most successful bands - Prime Circle, return to Durban and in particular the Botanic Gardens as part of the 2010 Old Mutual Music at the Lake Concert series, supported by Durban’s No 1, East Coast Radio. Josie Field, performing in the Gardens for the first time, will open the concert at 2:30 pm

O

ver the past 10 years Prime Circle - Ross Learmouth (vocals), Dale Schnettler (drums), Dirk Bisschoff (lead guitar), Neil Breytenbach (keyboards) and Marco Gomes (bass), has made an indelible imprint on the country’s music scene. “We’re never complacent because we are in this for the long run and know that we have the songs and performing ability to make it a reality,” says Ross.

Prime Circle was the main international rock draw card at the closing event of the Indian Premier League last year and made such an impression on the 12-million viewers that it resulted in the band being invited to play at the Rock ‘N India festival in Delhi and Bangalore in February.

Josie, too has performed overseas having visited Dubai and the UK late last year for a mini international tour. She kicked off 2010 with a performance at the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens with Farryl Purkiss and Dan Patlansky.
