The Witness Hilton Festival celebrated its 20th anniversary this year and in the programme notes director Sue Clarence reminisced about its humble beginnings all those years ago. I spent a sunny Sunday taking in the craft stalls, the art work, a couple of serious theatre pieces and some utterly delightful children’s shows, and bumping into some of South Africa’s most talented theatre practitioners.
